Fun at the Farm

Every year N's work has a party at a local Farm. We have absolutely loved it each year!

The new attraction this year...a gigantic slide. Yeehaaa! Mom might have loved it more than the kids. I'm the one who asked, "Can we do it again?" :-)

The pumpkin we picked from the patch.

Backyard Campground

Three or so weeks ago we went camping with the kids in the backyard and had a grand 'ol time!

Here are some of the events of the evening.

Preparing the wood for the fire.

We ARE camping, right.?

Makes one tired just watching camp setup.

Enjoying our all-time favorite - Foil Dinners cooked over hot coals!!

Ahhh! Tent sweet tent! Couldn't have asked for a more peaceful rest!

T - Man

I spend much of the day with two little ones at home. One doesn't talk yet and the other talks quite a bit - but he talks in T - Man language (english but TJ's way of sounding words out).

The other night I asked him to say the night time prayer. He folded his arms and said, "I need water." This is an excuse he often uses when he wants something else - so I replied, "First say the prayer and then I will give you some water." He folded his arms and continued, "I need water." Again, I replied, "T, I will give you water after you say the prayer." Just like before, T folded his arms and said, "I need water, please bless...." Finally I realized that "I need water" was the way he said, Heavenly Father. I had a pretty good laugh after that. I wonder how crazy he must have thought I was to keep interrupting his prayer to tell him I'll give him water later. Oh well, he's used to it I'm sure.

Also, the other day I was lighting a candle and T said, "It's smells like my birthday!"

It's fun having my cowboy, boot wearing, smiling, and sometimes mischievious little boy home with me during the day!

Our little pumpkin!

Doesn't your mom and dad feed you?

Our Marathon Hero!!

Dad...our marathon hero! Ned ran the Air Force Marathon (his first one) and did awesome! The race started off with fighter jets flying over. It was quite the start. Despite having his legs cramp up for the last 6 miles - he finished strong!

The kids and I were at the entrance of the last leg of the race (a pathway the runners went through that was lined by numerous Air Force planes from the past). We had a ball cheering dad and the other runners on their way!

Ned wanted his biggest fans to be a part of the race. :-)

YES! GENERAL CONFERENCE!

I absolutely can't wait to watch General Conference! Being able to listen to latter day prophets speak to us during their perilous time makes me feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas morning to come.

What a joy and a blessing it is to know that our loving Father in Heaven is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Just like He called prophets in days of old, He has also blessed us with Prophets to lead and guide us. Each time I am able to listen to General Conference or read the talks I feel as though I am being spoken to directly. I learn and gain so much from our inspired leaders. I absolutely can't wait!! To learn more about our beliefs.
